Year Course in Pastoral Care focused on Children and Young People – Part 1

Many people walk around with masks in an effort to hide the reservoir of pain hidden inside. This pain very often relates to events that have occurred even before birth or otherwise during early childhood. Because it was never treated, it became like a septic wound covered with a lot of bandages and plasters over the years. During childhood and adolescence, people are most vulnerable to trauma, rejection, and emotional injuries, and consequently, most of the emotional damage takes place during these phases. This course focuses on these early stages of life. Persons who will benefit greatly from this course are youth workers, youth ministers/pastors, counsellors at schools, teachers, Sunday school teachers, social workers, pastoral counsellors, etc.
